I'm a Web programmer in Virginia, with one foot in this world, and the other in the real one.

I've been a serious student of mysticism for sometime now, and an enlightenment seeker for a few years. My Zen teacher is Vernon Kitabu Turner.  I've had a website, The Wild Things of God, online for over twelve years now. Besides my blog “Jedi Life in the Real World, “  it also has some movie reviews, book reviews, poetry, and will soon have a section devoted to language-learning.

I came to embrace mysticism first through Christian mysticism; e.g. contemplation, the Desert Fathers, Eastern Orthodox mysticism, theosis, and so forth. This soon expanded into the study of all the mystical traditions of the world, and now… it's something that I can't  describe. I fully believe and sometimes sense, that all is one, and that all distinctions, even our “own” apparent existence as separate beings,  is part of the same One, (or perhaps better called the same No-thing).

I live with two wonderful cats–a black one named Talbot, and a white cat named Buddy. I enjoy good movies, good food, and good friends.
